INFO ABOUT MENINGITIS

  • Any person from any part of the world can get meningitis
  • A disease involving irritation or inflammation to the meninges
  • There is 2 types of meningitis normal and viral
  • It can have life lasting effects and leave you deaf and in rare cases blind
  • It's also an inflammation of the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord

PREVENT MENINGITIS

  • It's a rare disease, but however you can still get infected
  • Wash your hands every time you go to a public place or hospital
  • Stay healthy and don't eat to much fast food, they contain many infected food
  • Cover your mouth every time you have to sneeze or cough
  • Take many vaccines to prevent any type of disease

VIRAL MENINGITIS

  • It's fairly common while bacterial meningitis is rare
  • It usually doesn't cause serious illness
  • In rare cases,it can cause prolonged fever and seizures
  • Viral meningitis is caused by a virus and bacterial is caused by bacteria
  • Occurs in children that are younger than 5

MORE INFO ABOUT MENINGITIS

  • Caused by bacteria or viruses that often live in our body
  • Usually these germs stay in the intestines or in the nose or throat
  • If spread to tissues that surround brain and spinal cord they cause inflammation
  • These germs are contagious and can be passed from one to another
  • These viruses are spread through food, water, or contaminated objects
