From 3,000 B.C. to 2,500 B.C., the Ancient Indians grew cotton and made it into fabric, while some villages grew to be great cities like Mohenjo-Daro.
Then, from 2,000 B.C., the Indo-Europeans were driven out of India. While in 1,500 B.C., the Aryans then migrated into India.
In 563 B.C., Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha, was born. Siddhartha was a wealthy prince who gave up his position to understand the meaning of life. Then, he taught his learnings which is called Buddhism.
In the 1900s, an Indian leader named Mohandas Gandhi used nonviolence to fight the British rule. He inspired millions including Martin Luther King Jr. In 1948, Gandhi was assassinated.
