Joshua 1:9
" Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; Do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

To me, this verse means to not be afraid and not to be discouraged but to have courage and to be brave because God will always be with you wherever you go, and to always have faith in Gods plans for you.

The reason or (point of you will) why I chose this verse... Well I guess you can basically say that the verse chose me. My explanation is that I've always wanted to have courage, I've always wanted to have strength.

But I felt as if by having this verse appear to me over and over is Gods way of telling me to have courage to have strength and to not be afraid to do what's right and that He will always be with me for love and support.

It doesn't mean ' Go out into the war! I'll defend you if I have to!' It means that when we are at our weakest and we are afraid or discouraged that God will be with us to provide the strength and courage we need.

This is important to me because it has always motivated me to keep angoing and to hold on because God is with me and that I shouldn't be afraid of the world or life's challenges but have faith in what God has planned and to portray courage in the face of defeat and giving up.
