PRESENTATION OUTLINE

CELL ENERGY

BY: BELLA AND SONI

PHOTOSYNTHESIS

  • Reactants: sunlight+Carbon dioxide+water

CELLULAR RESPIRATION

  • Purpose: breaks down food to create oxygen and release energy
  • Location: first stage is in the cytoplasm and second stage in the mitochondria
  • Reactants: glucose+ oxygen

FERMENATION

SIMILARITIES

  • Happens in a cell

DIFFERENCES

  • Photosynthesis is the only conversion that needs sunlight
  • 4 stages in respiration and 2 steps in photosynthesis

CYCLE BETWEEN PHOTOSYNTHESIS AND CELLULAR RESPIRATION

  • Keeps the levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide fairly equal
  • Opposite equations
  • Photosynthesis absorbs energy and respiration releases energy
