WHO DISCOVERED
Chlorine was first founded in 1774 by Carl Wilhelm Scheele.
He didn't know it was an element. Thought it contained oxygen.
Sir Humphry Davy confirmed it was an element in 1811.
Called it Chlorine from the Greek word 'chloros'.

WHERE IS IT FOUND?
Chlorine was first used as a gas in WWI.
Used for producing safe drinking water.
Can be found on tree frogs as a pain killer.
Most likely found in swimming pools.
Most is found in cleaning products such as Clorox.

Can be used as medicine.
Used to make safe drinking water.
Used to kill bacteria in swimming pools.
