WE CAN KEEP OUR WATER CLEAN BY....

• Recycle used items
• Help clean up trash on the beach
• Don't put anything but water down storm drains
• Fix leaks in your car
• Pick up after your pets

Recycling helps the water because....
It keeps trash from getting to the oceans or rivers.

Cleaning up trash on the beach helps the water because....
It helps the ocean to not have trash in it and it helps animals that live on the beach to not choke on the trash and die.

Not putting anything but water down the storm drain helps the water because....
Everything that goes down the storm drain is sent to the nearest waterway because water is supposed to be the only thing in there.

Fixing leaks in your car help the water because....
Some people dump oil into storm drains which pollutes the water.

Picking up after your pets helps the water because....
When your pets do their business it washes into the storm drains and into the nearest waterway.

All of those are ways to help clean up our water.

Not only can adults help clean up our water,but kids can recycle and help too!
