• He was the first person to discovered the neutron
• He was born on the 20th of October, 1891 in England
• He died at the age 84 on the 24th July 1974

• James discovered the neutron
• He got awarded a Nobel prize for his discovery

HOW DID HE DISCOVER IT?

• James bombarded the alpha rays coming off a natural radioactive material (Beryllium)
• The Beryllium he used emitted rays that contained neutral particles.
• The Beryllium was converted into Carbon
