Do you have someone special in your life that stands out among all the people you know? Would you consider this person a hero? You don't need a costume and cape to pull this off. Hero's are called hero's because of the actions they make and how it effects others. A hero to me is my mother. She's one person in my life that is there for me and if I needed help out any point in my life she would be the one I would go to. To me she is a true hero.

THe Traits

Of a True Hero
In my opinion, the traits of being a true hero is to be inspiring, honest, and caring. If people don't have these characteristics it would be somewhat hard for them to be this way.

Inspiring

One trait of a hero is to be inspiring. To be inspiring is to influence, guide, or to give an idea about what to do or create.

How She's Inspiring to me

My mother is inspiring to me in many ways. First off, She had to raise my sister and I her own because she had a divorce with my dad a while back. We both turned out fine and went on to adulthood to attend college. Another way she inspires me is with her faithfulness to her new husband. She is trusting and would never try to hurt him intentionally.

How She's honest to me

My mom is probably the most honest person I know. She can sometimes even be too honest. For example, one time when I got my hair cut in a different style she told me that she liked it better longer and that I shouldn't have gotten it cut. Another way, which is more positive, was when she told me she would give me a hundred dollars if I told her who was on the hundred dollar bill and I got it right. Then she gave it to me, which was very surprising.

How she's caring to me

My mother is caring in many different ways, just like a good mother should be. If I were to be sick she would go out of the way to make sure I would get better. Even if it meant taking me to the doctor or going out to buy medicine. Also, she can tell if I am in a bed mood or not. If I am she's always there to ask what is wrong and if I don't want to tell her she is understanding about that too.

THe END

As you can see a heroism isn't about wearing a cape or mask. It is about being a good person, making the correct choices, and doing what is right. I believe being inspiring, honest, and caring influence this and ensure that you do these things. The best hero in the world isn't measured by the size of their muscles, but the size of their heart. To me my hero is my mother. Whoever yours is for you to decide.
