IN THE BEGINNIING
The quaternary period began 2.6 million years ago
It is the current time period that we are in.
In this time period, the glaciers from the previous ice age are starting to melt and land is forming.
The first Primates are on the Earth and the first hooved animals have evolved.

CLIMATE
The climate of this time period was cold
The Earth was warming up from the previous ice age.
The glaciers were melting which was causing land to form and the earth to heat up.

PLANT-LIFE
There was not much plant life on the earth at this time because the earth was still covered in ice.
There was some vegetation but it was all evergreen plants that could endure the cold weather.
If there was any of plants on the Earth they were frozen in the ice.

ANIMALS
After the ice melted, the animals that were still alive, evolved.
The first Primates had appeared on Earth which will evolve into the humans of present time.
Animals from the Tertiary period have evolved as well and the first sign of hooved animals are on the Earth.
