• Respirations formula is the photosynthesis formula but backwards
• Respiration occurs in the cell in the mitochondria
• For respiration to occur you need glucose and oxygen
• Then in the mitochondria a chemical reaction occurs
• This process creates water and energy for the body it also creates CO2

• Respiration is important because
• The process creates energy and water for your body
• As a waste it creates carbon dioxide
• The energy is used to build, repair and reproduce cells

• Diffusion is the movement of molecules from a higher concentration
• To a lower concentration
• Osmosis is the movement of water across a semi-permeable membrane
