  • In the first trimester, women can get abortions without restrictions
  • However, after the first trimester, states could restrict abortions with their own laws
  • Ruled that the right to an abortion is part of our rights of privacy
  • (Jane Roe won the case)

  • The voting margin was 7-2 in favor of legalizing abortion
