  • The spinning jenny was invented in 1764.
  • More than 20,000 machines were used in Britain.

WHAT DID THE SPINNIG JENNY DO?!

  • It was a simple wooden contraption that spread several threads at once.
  • The machine used 8 spindles onto which the thread is spun from a corresponding set of rovings.
