TYPES OF STEMS
- Herbaceous stem is made are soft and contain no wood
- Woody stems consist of phloem and xylem tissue as well as many other supporting cells
WOODY STEM
- Woody stem: a woody stem has six parts
- A tree has annual rings they are thick when it is a good year
- The tree has thin ring when the year was bad
- A bad year is when it is cold and dry
- A good year is when there is a plentiful amount of water
HERBACEOUS STEM
- This type of stem is made of often soft substance
- It is also contains no wood at all
FACTS ABOUT STEMS
- All stems consist phloem and xylem tissue
- They also consist many supporting cells
- Lastly all stems can be soft and some can be rough
