Tuberculosis

(TB)

Define Tuberculosis

(TUBERCULOSIS MYOBACTERIUM)

TB is an infectious disease spread through air. People spread this to other people by coughing, sneezing, and even talking. This disease typically attacks the lungs, but it can attack other organs of the body as well. It is commonly found in areas with poverty, malnutrition, poor health, and social disruption.
When TB enters the lungs, the immune system does one of two things. Either it claims it, or kills it. There is Latent TB and then there is Active TB.
