They were expert trappers that sold fur for house hold items
The fur was then sold to Europeans which became very profitable for Maryland's economy
Native Americans taught colonists how to hunt and fish
They helped the colonist establish a strong economy with these skills
Colonists were also taught how to grow tobacco

Baltimore served as a temporary capital of the colonies when
the second continental congress met there in December of 1766
Maryland's state house is where the Treaty of Paris was signed ending the war and where George Washington stepped down from chief commander
Not any major battles were fought in Maryland
