• During presidency Grant started reconstruction
• Witch was to continue occupying the south with troops
• Grant also passed the fifteenth amendment witch gave
• All people no matter skin color the right to vote

An accomplishment of Grants was still keeping the reconstruction going despite oppisition

• Grant might have been assassinated with Lincoln
• At the ford theatre but couldn't go last minuit
• Hewas a war general and couldn't stand the sight of blood
• Got a ticket for speeding and for riding his horse too fast through D.C.
