  • The Nile River empties into the Mediterranean Sea.
  • The Nile River flood cycle is made up of Akhet, Peret, and Shemu.
  • The Nile Valley gets less than one inch of rain a year.

  • Pyramids were used as houses or tombs for dead kings.
  • To build pyramids, Egyptians had to know mathmatics, geometry, engineering, and architecture.
  • Egyptians put chambers in the pyramids to reduce weight from above.
  • Pharaohs were buried with their possessions.
  • Egyptians believed that their kings could still take their possessions with them after they died.
