What was the congress?
The congress met in Austria of September of 1814 to try to figure out what to do after Napolean's defeat to restore order to Europe

Who Attended?
- Czar Alexander, Russia
- Karl Hardenberg was the principal minister for Prussia
- Viscount Castlereagh represented Britain.
- Prince Metternich went for Austria
- Sweden, Spain, and Portugal were also there

The island of St. Dominque was so rich because they exported most of Great Britian's sugar and tea, and most of the work force were slaves.

The revolution spread so quickly because the slaves were tired of being mistreated

Napolean sent troops to stop the revolution, they captured Toussaint and executed him.

After he was killed, his leutinent finished the fight. They won when France surrendered.

Miguel tried to lead a peaceful, no fight revolution, but when he realized that wouldn't work, he started fighting back.

Most people didn't fight with him though because he wanted to free the slaves too. People actually executed him.

After Hidalgo was killed, Jose Saint Martin rose up and finished the job. Mexico gained independence in 1821
