LITERACY PROJECT

INTRODUCTION

• Being literate about something is more then reading and writing
• I am literate in the culture that surrounds me everyday
• We are all effected by what surrounds us which makes us literate

1. BASKETBALL

• Requires you to know how the game works
• Requires you to learn how work with your teammates
• Creighton basketball influences the fans
• "The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team"
• It forces you to strive and do the best you can do

2. TECHNOLOGY

• I am literate in technology.
• It requires you to be able to work with others easily
• Technology requires you to keep up with the media
• Helps you in the business world

3. Service

• It requires you to make an impact on someone's life
• Service requires you to help your community make a difference
• It is the action of helping or doing work for someone
• I always try my best to satisfy other's needs

CONCLUSION

• I am literate in these three areas because of how I was exposed to them
• I plan to continue to be literate in these areas
• There is so much more than reading and writing in literacy as you can see
• I believe the areas I am literate about impacts our lives everyday
