PRESENTATION OUTLINE
1.
GILES COREY
BY SAM, ALYSON, TREVOR, ALEX, TOM, NIK
2.
BEGINNING
He was a strong, bold man.
Not very intelligent.
Giles was a very naive man, also.
3.
HIS TEST
Giles innocently made a comment about his wife reading.
This caused her to be arrested for witchcraft.
He tried to reason with the judge in the courtroom.
He was then arrested for contempt of court.
Giles felt very guilty and responsible for putting many of the people in jail.
4.
CHANGES
Giles temper became short in the courtroom.
He also felt he needed to stand up for what he believed.
Giles became a stronger will-powered man.
5.
DECISIONS
Giles was forced to decide if he wanted to live or die.
He decided it would be better to die, than lie and live.
He had to decide if he was willing to crack under the pressure like everybody else.
6.
QUOTES
Most known for saying, "More weight"
"Aye, and well instructed in arithmetic."
"Mr Parris I beg you pardon. I never thought you had so much iron in you."
Sam Pruitt
