INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

The seed drill was an innovation that allowed seeds to be easily planted deep into the earth instead of on top where the majority were washed away or otherwise lost. Made by Jethro Tull.

JOBS. A lot of people moved to the cities during this time because due to the new factory openings and such, many more jobs were available.

Working conditions in factories were horrible. There were no sanitary measures involved and everyone would pass around diseases.

Robert Bakewell was the corporate leader of a livestock breeding company and he led a monopoly.

In the 1800s, numbers fluctuated a lot, but about 40% of people lived in the country side and 60% in the cities.

Women and children contributed little in the time of the Industrial Revolution. They would be used to do tedious things, like housework and cooking. Occasionally, some will be given the task of assisting their husband in the factories.

During this period, the "working class" was formed and exploited in factories.

When the new Trade Unions were formed, their goals were to get better working environments and better working conditions in general.
