PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Liesel Meminger

By Sofia Berg

Liesel is a nine years old in the beginning of the book. Is meant to look very innocent, kind and sweet young girl.

Liesel Meminger

  • Liesel's desires are books! As a young girl who doesn't know how to read she has become fond of the concept of books.

Motives

  • Her biggest motive was to steal books. Liesel is a "book thief".
  • Liesel has a huge drive to read and understand words. To overall learn how to read.

Strengths

I belive Liesel's biggest strength was being herself.

Strengths

  • Her strengths were being able to deal with a new home and a huge death with in her family. As a young girl she had to become strong and mature at a young age.
  • The biggest strength she has obtained is words. Liesel understood how powerful words could be but also had some conflict with them and at times she hated words.

Weaknesses

  • To me, her biggest weakness is losing her brother. At any age losing a sibling could be come very traumatic and haunting. Let alone having her mom give her up.
  • At being at age nine, I wouldn't blame her for being scared and sad. In all honesty I would too.

My favorite Quotes

  • "Sometimes people are beautiful. Not in looks. Not in what they say. Just in what they are"
  • "I witness the ones that are left behind, crumbled among the jigsaw puzzles of realization, despair, and surprise. They have punctured hearts. They have beaten lungs."
