Doctors treated sicknesses with drugs, diets, and exercise. The drugs opium and hemlock put the patients to sleep and helped to dull the pain afterwards.

A doctor by the name Ibn Sina wrote a book that is called the Canon of Medicine. This book is still used to teach students who were becoming doctors.
