APPEARANCE

  • Fur is a mix of:
  • Gray
  • Rust
  • Black
  • Cream
  • long legs
  • Sleek body for running fast

SIZE

  • Hight - 26-32 inches at the shoulder
  • Length- 4.5-5.5 ft from nose to tail
  • Weight- 60-80 lbs (males are heavier and teller than females)
  • Life span- up to 15 years

HABITAT

  • Mountain forests
  • Grasslands
  • Scrublands

HISTORY

  • Commonly referred are “El lobo”
  • Scientific name is Canis Lupus Baileyi
  • Smallest of 5 kinds of Gray wolf
  • Ranged from central and northern Mexico to western texas
  • Found in variety’s of southwestern habitats
