ABOUT THE PARK

  • It's about three hours from Seattle
  • Over 300 peaks and glaciers
  • A very unique combination of ecosystems,from snow-capped mountains to family friendly lakes
  • Great for hiking,fishing,and camping

NATURE/SCIENCE

  • SOME OF THE ANIMALS IN THE PARK ARE THREATENED,AND CAN ONLY BE FOUND IN THE NORTH CASCADES
  • home to approximately 75 mammals,21 reptiles,200 birds,and 250 aquatic species like:
  • Columbian black-tailed deer
  • Bald eagles
  • The Gray Wolf

THINGS TO DO/SEE

  • Basically every outdoor activity possible crammed into one place
  • Horse riding,hiking,and educational walks("to our left is a tree" type of thing)
  • Fishing,camping,picnicking,and animal watching
  • Boating,canoeing,aquatic candlestick making

  • It's a huge park so people can get lost
  • It's home to wild animals,you could be eaten
  • Very strict "Leave No Trace" policy
