ROMMEL IN HIS EARLY LIFE

  • Born in Heidenheim
  • On November 15th 1891
  • The son of a teacher
  • Joined German infantry in 1910
  • Fought as a lieutenant

LIFE AS A LEADER

  • In 1940 he was commander of the 7th panzer division
  • He was the commander of the African troops (Afrika korps)

ROMMEL

  • Hitler promoted him to field marshal
  • He had lost North Africa in 1943
  • He had then went to defend at the Atlantic coast

MILITARY PROGRESS

  • In early 1944 Rommel defended the French channel
  • He had took a lot of land in Africa
  • He was a successful commander

FAMILY

  • His family had very little military experience
