JAMES
Who wrote the book of James?
It’s clear that James the half brother of Jesus (same mother – but the Holy Spirit conceived Jesus) wrote the book of James, which to me seems like a miracle in and of itself. It means that the author of this book grew up as Jesus’ little brother. Along with Jesus’ other brothers, James rejected Jesus while he was living (John 7:5). However, James became a believer and a follower of Christ when Jesus appeared to him after the resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:7). Later, this James became the key leader in the church in Jerusalem along with Peter (Acts 12:17, 15:13, Gal. 2:9, 12). To me, the story of James coming to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior is key evidence that the resurrection took place.
