  • Hormones produced in the endocrine system control bone growth and help strengthen existing ones

  • If there is not enough or too much of a certain hormone bones may be negativly affected e.g. osteorosis

  • Bones help protect many organs of the endocrine system e.g. skull protects the pituitary gland or hips protecting ovaries

  • The circulatory system acts as a highway for hormones to reach their needed glands

  • The endocrine system regulates the amount of ions in blood. e.g. sodium or pottasium

Signals Production of Hormones

  • If the nervous system detects the body is in a certain situation it signals to the endocrine system to produce certain hormones e.g. fight-or- flight produces adrenaline
