BACKGROUND

• Equiano was born in West Africa(Nigeria).
• He was part of a tribe.
• Equiano had many siblings.
• He was born in 1745 and passed away in 1797.
• Equiano accomplished a lot in life.

FACTS

• Equiano was kidnapped as a child and forced to be a salve.
• He was separated from his sister, twice.
• Equiano traveled on the slave ship to America.
• He was bought by many people while traveling through Africa.

MY OPINIONS

• I think it is horrific that children were taken away from their families.
• I don't think a child should have to endure something as bad as a slave ship.
• I don't think it's morally right to buy a person.
• His owners while in Africa, though, were very kind and understanding.
