The Hunters and Gatherers

They are very interesting and unique.
Location and climate: It is usually humid. Located at what is now known as Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba
Geography and environment: Mostly has grass covered prairies and some rivers
Clothing: Wore different clothing based on the weather
Food: Buffalo is the main food source.
Wild rice is also very important.
Hunted, fished, collected berries and wild vegtables
Shelter: They had teepees, due to the fact that they travel

Social Structure: Sometimes followed the social structure.
Social Needs: They each had their own tasks to do.
Spiritual Needs: They believed in their own spirits.
Culture: Music, dancing, art, and storytelling were a big part of their culture.
Innovations & Inventions: invented many useful things such as moccasins
THEY ALSO INVENTED POPCORN
Interaction with the Europeans: trading, treaties, broken treaties, lies, war, and lost land
Natives were put on reserves.
Was not treated well.
Almost lost entire culture.
Focused on Blackfoot peoples
