PRESENTATION OUTLINE

SOLAR SYSTEM

SUN

  • Day length-27 days
  • Mass-330,000 x earth
  • Diameter-1.4million km
  • Surface temp-5,500 Celsius
  • Density-1.41 water =1

SUN

  • The fate of our sun is that in 5 billion years
  • The suns center hydrogen is going to run
  • Out. Helium is going to get squeezed and speed
  • Up the hydrogen burning. Slowly the sun will
  • Become a red giant and eat all the inner planets.

ZONES IN SUN

  • Convection zone is where energy is transformed more rapidly
  • Core is the region where energy of the sun is produced.
  • Radiation zone is where the energy first travels through.

  • Mass-6.5e21 tons/density-5,515 kg
  • Diameter-12,750 million km
  • Surface temp-287k

EARTHS MOON

  • Moon formation 3 reasons
  • Moon came out of crust of earth
  • Moon was captured by earth
  • Earth and moon formed together out of premedilola nebula

MOON THEORIES

  • A large object crashed into earth and the debris formed the moon.
  • Other planets moons were captured asteroids and they look like potatoes not round. Our moon is round
  • Nuclei of moon drew material out of clouds of gas and dust.
