Steve Biko was born in 1946, in South Africa
His mom and brother were very important figures in his life.
Steve Biko was very vocal about his beliefs regarding the unfair laws in South Africa, called Apartheid.
He became a very influential anti-apartheid leader from a very young age.
In 1977, Biko was arrested by the police. The police hurt him, and caused him to die.
People were very angry about his death, but his story lives on.
