THE TURTLE AND THE RABBIT
The rabbit always teased the turtle because it moved so slowly. The turtle didn’t like this and challenged the rabbit to
a race. The rabbit laughed but agreed. The race began and the rabbit immediately ran ahead.
The turtle continued walking slowly. The rabbit was winning the race and decided to rest under a big tree. The rabbit soon fell asleep.
Time passed. When the rabbit woke up, it was dark outside. The rabbit raced to the finish line but it was too late. The turtle was waiting there and was smiling. The turtle beat the rabbit in a race!
