What makes the moral values held by women different from men’s?

My essential question is that what makes the moral values held by women different from men’s

The article, “Do Women and Men Have Different Moral Values” by Jesse Prinz, presents the idea that women and men hold different moral values. This article is found on a website called Psychology Today. In this website, most of the articles talk about how to figure out issues by using psychology knowledge. The author, Jesse Prinz, explains the reason of why women and men hold different moral values based on their natural characters and the emotion centers of the brain.

Natural Character

According to the article, “Women are more empathetic then men, and that this difference increases over child development” (Prinz). Numerous studies have found that women are more likely to reciprocate acts of kindness, and they are more likely to base moral division an a care orientation, but men gravitate more towards principles.

THE BRIAN

“When looking at pictures of immoral acts, women’s judgments of severity correlate with higher levels of activation in emotion centers of the brain, suggesting concern for victims, whereas men show higher activation in areas that might involve the deployment of principles” (Prinz). Women tend to be more emotional, and the decisions they make are more likely to depend on their brain cognition and emotional feelings.

CONCLUSION

In summary, women and men hold different moral values because of their natural characters and their brain. But this does not mean that women are not as good as men when they face moral issues. In contrast, women judges tend to adopt more extreme positions overall than men, and they want to try many difficult jobs.
