What is the Circus Maximus?

Circus Maximus is an ancient Roman chariot racing stadium and mass entertainment
venue located in Rome, Italy.

Why is it important?

To benifet the people of Rome and the gods.

Function of the building?

The building was used for chariot races.

Circuses were mainly constructed during the 400 years between 200BC and 200AD.

is it still in existence?

Kind of, it is now a large park in the center of town used for concerts and meeting
