CINQUAIN

  • A cinquain only has 5 lines
  • The 1 line has 2 syllables the 2 line has 4 syllables the 3 line has 6 syllables the 4 line has 8 syllables and last line has 2 syllables
  • A cinquain does not need to rhyme but it can if you want it to

  • A diamante has 7 lines
  • The first and last lines are one word the scond and sixth line have two words the third and fifth line have three words and the fourth line has four words
  • 1,4,7 have nouns lines two and six have adjectives and lines 3and 5 have verbs
