VOLUNTEERING
some things you might want to do to
get some what of a feeling of what is it
to vet is for you to go to volunteer at
a veterinarian's office and take notes and see
what all they do you could also volunteer
dbtelford
12.
voluntering (continued)
at a animal shelter and get to see how to
clean and how to care for animal for the
basics and then you can get in dept at the
vet's office with the work they do. also ask
if you could watch a surgery or two
spotreporting
13.
VOLUNTEERING (continued)
once your a vet you will have to perform
surgery so if you watch one you will get a feel for
what it's like and if you cant handle the blood or
having to nuterter animals then maybe this job
just isn't for you even though you love animals
blmiers2
14.
Volunteering (CONTINUED)
you might not have what it takes to care for them
its okay you love animals and just because you
aren't a vet doesn't mean you don't love animals
it's just means that you aren't able to do what vets
do on a day to day basic for animals.

work conditions
The work conditions all really depend on
type of veterinarian you want to be either

long hours and work day but will most times have to
work nights, get dirty when working with large

animals. You could also work for the government.
The government needs vets to check the animal's
health to make sure the naimals are health to
get our needs from them.

HOURS
AT LEAST 8 TO 10 HOURS A DAY

what or who were hire you
Anywhere and anyone would hire you
because people need doctors for their
animals because either they are a helping
animal because that person has a
disability or really bad depression and

hired
the human doctor told them to have an
animal friend or farms that work for the
government to bring the food store eggs,
milk, and meats. Vets are needed for
basically everyone if they have some

hired
type of animal friend. You could get hired
at a hospital or you could make your own
business or hospital any clinic would
hire you. A vet is a doctor but for animals
instead of humans so the same goes for them
Kerri Lee Smith
29.
pros for me
get to travel
might get dirty from surgery
blood involoved
lifting heavy things and animals
get to help a human's best friend get better

30.
cons for me
if an animal dies you basically have
left the person it belonged to alone or having
to break the bad news to the fasmily and seeing
them cry. Letting an animal die cause there is no
choice. Putting them to sleep.
VinothChandar
31.
cons for people
Cons- will have to carry heavy things 20
to 50 pounds or more. Blood, Cuts,
burns, small injuries. Death if kicked by
a big animal in the right place. Exposed to
gases, radiation, explosives, & high voltage
jpeepz
32.
Pros
will get to work with animals
will help animals feel better

33.
why it is a good fit
its a good fit because ive been learning
about medicine since i was little
i have always liked to work with animals
i feel that if i can save an animal that
belongs to someone who lives alone and is

continued
alone and for me to save their only
friend the one who deosnt care what
they wear or how they look that would
make me so good inside because im the
type of perosn that doesnt like to be mean

35.
contined
if someone is left out i feel bad for them and yeah i
mean im not nice nice nice but im not that mean
either i dont like to be mean unless there is
a reason and it has to be a GOOD ONE. Seeing
poeple alone that are nice and sweet and fun just
vonderauvisuals
36.
continued
makes me sad. It really dose cause if they
are a good person and no one will take
the chance to get to know them then
no one really sees who they are becaue they
dont get the try to show poeple
marsmet545
37.
is this for you?
you should think of becoming a vet if...
you love to care for animals
would be able to handle blood and
seriuous things, if you can handle
spamming and nutering animals
marsmet472
38.
shortage
Also there has been a HUGE shortage
on large animal veterinarians and the
goverenment needs those to check
the cows and chickens to make sure their
health is good so people can be safe eating
vgm8383
39.
shortage (CONTINUED)
milk and eggs and meats because if
the animal isn't in good conditions
then neither is the food and that leads
to diseases which some even can
cause death.
