BASIN

• A series of more less connected mountains ranged in a line.

• An area of land almost completely wu one e by water except for an isthmus connecting it with the mainland.

• A large area or flat dry land.

• An area of relatively level high ground.

• A large natural stream of water flowing in a channel to the sea a lake or another such stream.

STRAIT

• A narrow passage of water connecting two large areas of water.
