Anne spent some time in Westerbork, a work camp. Then they spent sometime in Auschwitz-Birkenau. Then when herself and her sister got sick they were sent to Bergen-Belsen.

Her family were forced into hiding. They hid in Mr. Frank's business's secret rooms, that Anne called the secret annex.

ANNE LOVED TO WRITE , AND FOR HER 13TH BIRTHDAY SHE GOT A DIARY, AND SHE FOUND MOST OF HER COMFORT WRITING IN HER DIARY. SHE WROTE HER DIARY TO "KITTY"

But the workers of the business did not know they were up there. To be sure of their safety the family could not make a noise during work hours. At night they could do as they please. During work hours Anne and her sister, Margot, did school work. If someone made one peep, they could be caught and taken away to live in a much more horrible situation, in a concentration camp.

Anne died in March of 1945. She died in the Bergen-Belson camp. She died when she was 15 years old.
