Let's go invent tomorrow instead of worrying about what happened yesterday.
-Steve Jobs

It's great to set the tone with an inspirational quote or a great photo.

This may be a good place to use a multiline slide layout: http://blog.haikudeck.com/new-text-and-layout-options/

How do we make that vision come alive?

  • 21st Century Learning Skills
  • Integration into classroom life, not a program add on
  • Training and development of staff and students

21st Century Learning Skills

  • Critical Thinking
  • Communication
  • Collaboration
  • Creativity
  • These are ways we use the skills built into the Common Core.
Haiku Deck's minimal format encourages concise, bold headlines.

You can import your own photos (http://blog.haikudeck.com/import-images-like-a-pro/) or use the integrated Creative Commons image search for a more metaphorical approach (More about that here:

Questions to consider

  • Where are we now?
  • How do we go forward?
  • How do we pay for it?
Here you can outline materials, or advance preparation, that will help things go smoothly.

Number of computers now

Here's an example of a Haiku Deck stat chart, a quick way to create a simple infographic.

You can highlight whatever stats and figures are most relevant to your topic.

2015-2016

  • Committee studies instructional implementation, platforms and devices
  • Devices are piloted in one class at each building
  • Committee makes instructional recommendations, administration makes implementation policy and procedure recommendations to the board, May 2016
Try to keep things clear and concise.

You can always add more detail (including links) here, in the Notes:

2016-2017

  • Teachers' laptops are replaced
  • Teachers are developed in the instructional use of devices
  • Teachers and students in grades 3 and 6 will have training to begin implementation

2017-2020

  • Each year, grades 3 and 6 are issued devices
  • Devices are leased for 3 years
  • The devices stay with the student for 3 years, then they are replaced
  • The committee will study the implementation of devices in K-2
Of course, you can include as many steps as you need.

To illustrate the process with your own photos, you can import images from your Camera Roll or computer, or from Google Drive, Dropbox, Flickr, Instagram, or other sites. More details here: http://blog.haikudeck.com/import-images-like-a-pro/

By 2019-2020, all students in grades 3-8 have their own device; its use is integrated into all instruction.
