Rule of Law

• The rule of law was passed to show the colonists that they are going to be ruled by law and they have to obey the law no matter what.
• It made the colonist more obedient.
• The crime rate dropped and people were now listening to the government.

Magna Carta

• It took a lot of power from the king and gave it to the people.
• The colonists were happy about the magna carta because the king was abusing his power too much.
• Some of the people were now able to be able to vote

English bill of rights

• It took away power to tax things. only the parliment could make or suspend taxes.
• The colonists hated taxes they rebelled and boycotted everything the could but the bill of rights calmed things down a little bit.
• Boston tea party is an example of a rebellion.
