EDUCATION FOR THE WEALTHY

• Not many schools
• Your gentry (wealthy) children, if you choose to have any, will have private tutors which were only for the highest class
• Middle class or the poor learned from thier older siblings
• Every other rich family will have a private tutor, why can't you?
• Since most poor children were taught by their siblings, dame schools were not needed and not used

JOBS THAT PAY THE BILLS

• Many of the million poeple came to beckme tobacco farmers
• Others, they became fishermen, blacksmiths, or printers
• People became farmers because tobacco was a huge cash crop

MANSIONS MADE OF MONEY

• Wealthy plantation owners had big mansions
• Of the middle class, most owned little farm houses
