History
In 1623 under an English land grant captain John Smith sent settlers out to establish fishing colonies .
In 1679 after a 38 year union with Massachusetts New Hampshire was made a royal colony
New Hampshire was the first to vote on the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776
In spring of 1623 they sent two small parties of emigrants to settle.
Also in 1692 a seperate was again effected ,and royal government reeve stablished.

The nickname for New Hampshire is Granite State
Origin name - from the English county of New Hampshire
The capital - concord
