14 Weeks

  • The baby can squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck their thumb!
  • At 14 weeks the baby starts stretching out, from head to bottom the baby measures 3 1/2 inches
  • The baby starts to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called "lanuga"
  • The baby's liver starts making bile this week
  • The babies spleen starts making red blood cells

14 Weeks

  • The baby is the about the size of a clenched fist
  • The baby has the roof of it's mouth now
  • The babies intestines are producing meconium
  • A little bit of baby fat may start to develop
  • The mother is more susceptible to colds, flu etc

15 weeks

  • The baby is the size of an apple
  • The baby measures about 4 inches long crown to rump
  • Although the babies eyelids are fused together they can detect light
  • The baby is forming taste buds
  • You may be able to find out the babies sex during this week

16 Weeks pregnant

  • The baby is about the size of an avocado
  • The baby is about 4 1/2 inches head to rump
  • Legs are more developed, head is more erect
  • The baby is even starting to grow toenails now
  • the patterning of the babies scalp has started now as well
