  • Government and fairness.

Government and economics

  • Back then, it was a democratic government
  • Some people had a lot more power than
  • others.
  • This could've lead to fighting beyond belief

Other problems that caused the rebellion

  • Crops were dying, leaving people in starvation
  • Economy took a turn for the worst.
  • A disease called cholera came to lower Canada
  • The "seigneurial system"  was causing problems  with taxes

The fight that became famous as the rebellion

  • The fight took place in three areas.
  • St.Denis,St-Charles, and St-Eustache.
  • The government had planned for this attack though, and soon won the fight.

That is the lower Canadian rebellion in a nutshell.
