PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
This beatitude means that the poor in Jesus' day has little to no possessions and little hope. Jesus promised that he would not make them rich but fulfilled their greatest need of hope and gospel.
The message of the kingdom is that if any are going to enter the kingdom, they must become poor in spirit & they must be humble to themselves before God.
