He lost both of his parents at an young age. His father was shot and kill. Srebrnik and his mother were sent to Camp Chelmno, but his mother got gassed and died.
At the young age of 13 he got the nickname of "Spinvefix"(quick spider). He was forced to get rid of genecide evidence, and had to gather up crushed bones, and ashes of gas victims and drop them in the sea. He entertain the guards by singing to them. He won races and games in the prison.
On January 18, 1945, the Soviet troops came to liberate the prisoners. Most of the Jews got shot and killed who helped work on getting rid of evidence. Srebrnik was soon free but then he went to trail for Camp Chelmno.
