policies

WWMS iPad Norms

  • Bring it to class fully charged and turn on bluetooth!
  • Keep it closed unless you are told to open it
  • Games/chatting/messaging are not allowed during school 9:10-4:00
  • Videos and photos are allowed with teacher approval

WWMS iPad Norms

  • No iPad use in advisory.
  • iPads are not allowed in the bathrooms, locker rooms or during lunch
  • iPad is the property of the school and can be checked at any time
  • If your iPad is damaged you are responsible to get it fixed RIGHT AWAY

iPAD POLICY

  • 1st Offense: teacher will take the iPad for the period
  • 2nd Offense: teacher will take the iPad for 24 hours
  • 3rd Offense: parent contact AND teacher will take the iPad for 24 hours.
  • 4th Offense: parent contact, teacher will take for 24 hours AND office referral

Homework Grading Codes

  • CO = Complete
  • INC = Incomplete
  • NHI = Not handed in (missing- THIS MEANS GET IT TURNED IN!)
  • NA = Not assessed

Assessment Grading Codes

  • 4 = Exceeds expectations
  • 3 = Meets expectations
  • 2 = Approaching expectations
  • 1 = Attempting expectations
  • NHI = Not handed in (missing - THIS MEANS TURN IT IN!)
  • NA = Not assessed
  • IE = Insufficient evidence (does not reflect standards)

WWMS Retake Policy

  • May retake SOME assessments
  • Must complete class requirements before retesting or redoing an assessment
  • Retake must be completed within 1 week
  • Last score becomes permanent

WWMS Bullying Prevention

  • We will not bully others.
  • We will try to help students that are being bullied.
  • We will try to include students that are left out.
  • If we know that someone is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school and at home.

Classroom Resources and Aid

  • Use Skyward to monitor progress and check for missing work
  • Check online sources for class materials and resources (Canvas)
  • Homework and retake deadlines are posted on Canvas calendar
  • Share questions with teachers.
  • Teacher help available in MTSS

  • 24 minutes silent reading (bring a novel of choice - not on iPad) and 24 minutes work time
  • Library day held regularly
  • Time to prepare for required book chats

  • Time for test/quiz retakes
  • Time to work on class work and homework - bring book and work with you or use passes to get them

  • Some switches may occur

HALL PASSES

  • Given each quarter
  • Must be completely filled out to use
  • Must have names in ink on them
  • When gone, they are gone

Library Passes

  • Pass necessary
  • Must be signed when you leave and arrive
  • Limited spaces for library visits each day

Tardy Policy

  • 3rd - Detention
  • 4th - Parent notification and detention
  • 5th or more - Office Referral and detention
  • Restarts at the beginning of each quarter

Honesty Policy

  • Always do your own work.
  • No working together unless with teacher permission.
  • If you copy someone's work, parents may be contacted.
