1ST, 2ND, & 3RD DEGREE BURNS
Sunburn can affect your body temperature. With 2nd & 3rd degree burns you become dehydrated, go into shock, it damages your muscle tissue, and can damage your kidneys
Precautions
- Never put your hands on a stove.
- Stand back from hot pans when removing a lid.
- Always wear sunscreen.
- Keep pot handles turned inwards.
Intense sun exposure that results in sunburn increases your risk of certain complications and related skin diseases. These include dry, wrinkled skin, liver spots,and skin cancer.
A mild burn characterized by heat, pain, and reddening of the burned surface but not having blistering or burning of the skin and tissue.
A burn that blisters the skin and is more severe than a first-degree burn.
A severe burn characterized by destruction of the skin through its deeper layers and possibly into underlying tissues, and loss of fluid.
