PRESENTATION OUTLINE

ORGANELLES

SAMANTHA TOBO, CAMERON SHIELDS PERIOD 4

CELL MEMBRANE

CONTROLS THE MOVEMENT OF MATERIALS INTO AND OUT OF THE CELL
We chose the gate as the cell membrane because it allows guests to enter and exit the school campus.

CYTOPLASM

JELLY LIKE FLUID THAT SUSPENDS THE ORGANELLES AND FILLS THE CELLS.
The cytoplasm relates to our school cafeteria because the cells that are being pushed is like the food given to us students to fill our stomachs.

NUCLEUS

CONTROL CENTER OF THE CELL CONTAINS THE GENETIC INFORMATION/DNA
The nucleus relates to the principal which is the head of the students and faculty.

CYTOSKELETON

GIVES CELLS SHAPE AND ANCHORS ORGANELLES
Cytoskeleton relates to the teachers because they give us information that is used in our everyday lives.

SMOOTH ER

INTERCONNECTED NETWORK OF FOLDED MEMBRANES AND TUBULES.
Smooth ER represents the folded pages in the students notebooks.

ROUGH ER

TRANSPORTS PROTEINS THAT WERE MADE ON THE RIBOSOMES
Rough ER represents our parents, because they transport us too and from school after a full day of learning.

RIBOSOME

SITE OF PROTEIN SYNTHESIS AND MAKE PROTEINS.
Ribosomes represents the coaches binding the players into a team.

GOLGI APPARATUS

MODIFIES,SORTS, AND PACKAGES PROTEINS
The Golgi Apparatus is like the students lockers because it is a place to organize our books, and our notebooks.

VESICLE

TRANSPORTS MATERIALS WITHIN THE SCENE.
The Vesicle represents the speaker in our school, because it directs us where to go at certain periods of time.

MITOCHONDRIA

POWER HOUSE OF THE CELL AND PRODUCES ENERGY FOR CELL PROCESSES.
Mitochondria is like the faculty because they are the power house of the school and everyone respects them.

CENTRAL VACUOLE

FLUID FILLED SAC FOR STORAGE OF WATER,FOOD, ENZYMES, AND WASTE.
The Central Vacuole is like the trash cans located all around campus because the students throw away their waste after they are done eating.

LYSOSOME

CONTAINS DIGEST ENZYMES THAT BREAK DOWN CELLULAR WASTE.
Lysosomes represent the school bathrooms because they are meant to discard the waste of our bodies.

CELL WALL

RIGID LAYER LOCATED ON THE OUT OF THE CELL MEMBRANE THAT GIVES PROTECTION, SUPPORT, AMD SHAPE.
We chose the school buildings as our cell wall because that is what gives our school its shape or for instance it's landscape.

CHLOROPLAST

CARRIES OUT PHOTOSYNTHESIS
Chloroplast is like backpacks that the students where to carry their books everywhere.
